As yet another snow storm grips areas north of the mason dixon line, you may not remember the black streaks on your shingle roof, but they are still there.<\/p>\n
A few times each year we get questions about whether the cold will kill the algae. Unfortunately, no. The Black Algae that forms the ugly roof streaks becomes dormant during the cold season, and waits for the snow and cold to pass before continuing to grow across and down your roof shingles.<\/p>\n
